WHY STRIPS

A better format for modern routines.

Every HELIX formula is cast as a thin dissolvable film and sealed into its own sachet — nothing to mix, measure, or prepare.

DEFINITION

What a dissolvable peptide strip is

A peptide strip is a pre-portioned dissolvable thin film that carries a defined quantity of a research compound within a solid film matrix. Rather than supplying the compound as a lyophilised powder to be reconstituted, the compound is incorporated into a film that is cast, dried, cut to a fixed geometry and sealed individually.

The format changes how research material is portioned, handled and documented. It is not a claim about how a compound behaves. HELIX strips are supplied for laboratory research use only.

Thin film
A solid film only a fraction of a millimetre thick, formed from film-forming polymers and excipients rather than compressed powder.
Pre-portioned
The quantity carried by a strip is fixed during formulation by the cast sheet and the cut geometry, not measured at the point of use.
Individually sealed
Each strip is enclosed in its own foil sachet, which shields the film from moisture, light and handling before it is opened.
Batch documented
Each film lot is traceable to a synthesis batch and a certificate of analysis describing identity and purity.

THIN-FILM TECHNOLOGY

How a thin-film research strip is made

01

Formulation

The research compound is dispersed into a film-forming matrix. Matrix composition governs how the film casts, dries and holds its shape.

02

Casting

The formulation is cast as a continuous sheet to a controlled target thickness — the variable that most directly determines uniformity across the sheet.

03

Drying

Residual solvent is removed under controlled conditions so the finished film reaches a stable, handleable solid state.

04

Cutting and sealing

The dried sheet is cut to a fixed strip geometry and each strip is sealed into an individual foil sachet with its batch identity retained.

Film uniformity, matrix composition and moisture protection are the formulation variables that matter most in this format. Analytical identity and purity are established separately, per batch.

Scope and limitations

Different formulation and delivery formats should not be assumed to have equivalent bioavailability, pharmacokinetics, stability or research outcomes. Those properties are specific to a compound, a formulation and an experimental model, and require appropriate supporting data.

Everything described on this page concerns physical format, preparation workflow, handling and documentation. HELIX materials are supplied for laboratory research use only, are not medical products, and are not for human or veterinary use. No dosing or usage instructions are provided.
